"My five months at ABC North Florida have been an incredible learning experience that has prepared me to confidently enter the workforce and begin my professional career.

Through hands-on experience in workforce development and apprenticeships, I gained valuable industry knowledge and built meaningful relationships at networking events and through community engagement.

I strengthened my public speaking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills by working alongside an amazing team to create solutions during events and initiatives.

Immersing myself in the world of commercial construction deepened my understanding of the industry and underscored the importance of leadership, teamwork, and professional growth. I am grateful for the opportunities, connections, and experiences that made this journey both educational and truly enjoyable."

- Mallory Lawrence, ABC North Florida Intern 2026

“I thoroughly enjoyed my time at ABC North Florida - from supporting events and workforce development initiatives to gaining hands-on exposure to the industry and chapter operations.

I’m especially grateful for the opportunities, guidance, and trust ABC NF gave me as I grew into the role in year two. I not only learned about the day-to-day operations of running a trade association, but I also gained meaningful exposure to industry professionals and real-world career pathways. This combination prepared me exceptionally well for the next step in my career, where I’ll be working with a major development company in Atlanta.

These past two years have been an amazing, fulfilling, and truly gratifying experience, and I couldn’t be more grateful for such an incredible organization and team.”

"After I graduated from college in 2020, I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted my next step to be, but I found ABC North Florida at the right time.

This internship taught me skills I wouldn’t have learned anywhere else and provided me with professional mentoring, workplace responsibility and the confidence needed to pursue graduate school at American University and employment in the U.S. House of Representatives in Washington, DC."
